After reading the stories of all the different people of this time, I have come to learn the many people had very different occupations that they did in order to survive the Depression. People had jobs from working at the slaughter house to being stay home housewife’s in the poorest of poor neighborhoods. I thought it was interesting how many people were not satisfied with the condition they were living in and their life wasn’t for them. Others did activities to actually have fun at the time. I also noticed that each person did something different, that you don’t usually hear about to make it through this tough time. For instance, there were quilting parties that many housewives’s attended to. When there would be a county fair, these ladies would bring their bets quilt to be judged and win a prize.
